04 / THE MOMENTS
Our moments.

We had the chorus ready. The coffee needed another minute.

Our first little audience. We knew most of them. Still got butterflies.

I moved one tiny slider. Everyone nodded like I’d solved something. — Elias

I crossed out three words and somehow made room for a whole feeling. — Freya

I found a melody and played it again, very carefully. Nobody wanted to scare it away. — Alma

I called it a rhythm exercise. The table had concerns. — Gabriel

I sang it softly. Somehow, everyone listened a little harder. — Elin

We played while the sun stayed up. So did the people at the back.

We fitted five voices into one chord. The middle bit took a small negotiation.

We shared one pair of headphones and two very different ideas of loud enough.

We got the tricky bit right. Then forgot which bit it was.

We said nothing after that take. For once, it was a good sign.

We took the long way home. Called it research.

We had a very small stage. Everyone found room to dance anyway.

The weather contributed percussion. We hadn’t asked.

We went out for coffee and came back with half a chorus.

I played a few notes in a quiet room and forgot to watch the clock. — Elin

I worked hard on those chords. My fingers complained; I tried again. — Alma

We packed everything except a sensible way to carry it.

We were deep in a very serious discussion about harmonies. Then the toast popped up.

The rain brought a few extra people in. We decided to take the credit.

We meant to check one detail. We ended up dancing.

We missed the ferry. Found a melody. Slightly uneven trade.

We asked for one more take. Four takes later, even the tea had given up.

We took the long way home, quietly humming a hook nobody wanted to lose.

Someone asked for one more. We tried to look casual about it.

We sat there, tired and happy, and let the song settle.
