It was one of those Stockholm evenings when the rain seemed to have made plans to stay. Our jackets dripped by the door. Nobody was in much of a hurry to leave. Alma started trying a few notes on the little keyboard, and Elias found some chords underneath. We kept coming back to the same small phrase.

It felt like wanting to say something to someone, then deciding to wait one more minute. You know the feeling: a message reread, a smile remembered, a perfectly ordinary “see you soon” suddenly being asked to carry rather a lot.

We’ve found the feeling.

That’s where the new song lives for now. A little melancholy, a little hope. Loving someone without knowing whether the feeling comes back. We don’t want to give the question an answer just to make the chorus tidy.

Freya filled a page, crossed bits out, and turned it over. Elin tried a line softly. Gabriel tapped a very small rhythm on his knee. For once, the table got the evening off.

The words are still catching up.

We have the basic feeling, but we’re still working on the lyrics and how the song should unfold. How much do we admit in the first verse? When does the hope start to show? Should the chorus open up, or hold something back? We’re trying different paths and listening for the one that feels honest.

A bigger chorus isn’t automatically a better one. We’d like the song to grow without losing that small, uncertain feeling that made us stop and listen in the first place.

Nothing finished to play you yet. Just a melody we’re curious about, some words with pencil marks through them, and a reason to meet again. We hope to have more to share soon.
